I lack the wordcraft to say anything about it that hasn't already been said, so I won't even try. I could go on for pages about my thoughts and feelings and such, but they more or less boil down to never again. Whatever is the reaction/result, it must be geared toward that outcome. Anyway, I'm sure a bit of escapism is called for in many cases, so my advice is to settle in with an old favorite book (or two or three or...) and take the edge of your tension off. Not all of it, of course, because we should all be a little tense at this point, ready for what must be done next to ensure a better (Asimovian rather than Clarkish) future.
